Note:
David Urban earned his MFA from the University of Guelph in 1994. According to Nasgaard: "His first show (at the Sable-Castelli Gallery in Toronto) received critical acclaim, sold out and led quickly to international exposure."

From December 2002 until March 30, 2003, the artist was the subject of an exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto entitled "Present Tense 24: David Urban".
