David Dalby of York (1794-1836) Hunter in a Stable, a black spaniel holding a twig in the foreground Signed and indistinctly dated, possibly 1820 or 1826, inscribed on a plaque attached to the frame, oil on canvas, 61cm by 77cm Little is known of this painter.
