David Clarke Jenkins (1867-1916) HARVEST TIME signed verso, 34.5 x 50cm The artist was born in Nottingham and between 1885 and 1891 had six pictures accepted at the Royal Academy. In 1890 Jenkins moved to Liverpool, where he died. His obituary in the Liverpool Courier and the relatively small number of extant works reveal that he was clearly aware of contemporary trends , in particular the work of the plein air artists Requires cleaning but in otherwise fine original condition
