Description

David Bradley (NM, b. 1954), Indian Market Party, full title - "The Elaine Horwitch Indian Market Party," acrylic on canvas, signed "David P. Bradley (C) 87" lower left. The exposed stretcher carries a second dated signature and a label from Elaine Horwitch Galleries of Scottsdale, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Stapled to the stretcher is a 1990-1991 exhibition itinerary from the Plains Art Museum in Moorhead, Minnesota. Included is manuscript letter from the artist identifying the many individuals depicted in the painting. Some of the figures are allegorical whereas others are Bradley's friends and colleagues. David Bradley, a Chippewa, is a listed artist who has exhibited extensively in the United States and abroad. 36" x 48" Exhibited: Moorhead, MN, Plains Art Museum, (Minneapolis, MN, Pillsbury Center, and Minneapolis, MN, Minneapolis American Indian Center), Restless Native: David Bradley, 1991.
