[ Comics ] Michel Blanc-Dumont - Jonathan Cartland, page 43 Original Art (undated). Michel Blanc-Dumont began his comics career in 1973 with tales of the wild West and Native Americans. He illustrated several Indian legends and his comics career took a leap forward in 1974 when he unveiled the Western series "Jonathan Cartland" (with writer Laurence Harle) in Lucky Luke Magazine. The series was later continued in Pilote and Charlie Mensuel. Blanc-Dumont's illustrations were collected in the Darguad album L'Univers de Blanc-Dumont in 1984 This highly detailed page has an image area of 12in x 16in. The page was long the border of the bottom panel tier and the upper tiers and the pieces have since been rejoined; otherwise the art is in Excellent condition.
