Notes

PROPERTY FROM THE COLLECTION OF STEVE MARTIN

Clyde Scott received his training at the Boston Art School before settling in California in 1910, where he exhibited regularly throughout his career. The present work demonstrates the artist's ability to create a distinctly modern scene of a traditional western theme, established by a bold composition of a low horizon and silhouetted forms.
