Notes

Colonel King's Fulford was a bay colt foaled in 1812 by Orville out of Maniac. He finished third in the 1815 St Leger behind Filho Da Puta and Dinmont. This picture was executed in 1817 and as such commemorates Fulford's greatest triumph when he won the Doncaster Cup in this year.
