Notes

A student of Fleury-Richard at the Beaux-Arts de Lyon, he exhibited at the Salon from 1824-1877. He specialised in historic paintings. In the Salon of 1845, Baudelaire rated his work highly and Jaquand went on to decorate La Salle des Croisandes at Versailles and the church of Saint-Philippe-du-Roule amongst others.
