In Ryaux’s opinion, he states the painting is not by the hand of Louis de Boulogne (Boullogne). Louis de Boulogne executed a very similar canvas in reverse of this scene entitled “Venus, Hymen el les Amours” measuring 162 x 178 cm. in 1688 as well as other scenes of this subject that have been Attributed to his hand or Circle.Estimate: $3,000—4,000
