An Appaloosa and a black horse in an extensive landscape
with indistinct inscription 'These 2 horses belonged to Mr Liddell a Saddler at Doncaster/who worked for Mr J F Herring snr & Mr Herring painted them/*** on a part payment of a debt and valued the pictures at/£25. Mr Liddell exhibited the picture in his corridor of the ******.' (on a lable on the reverse)
