Presented is a large showroom display bronze of Hispano-Suizas iconic mascot Cigogne (Stork). This wonderful, early example has a brilliant patina and is mounted on a large, beveled marble base.

Interestingly, the flying stork mascot was created by French sculptor François Bazin. In 1918, he had joined the military, specifically a squadron whose planes were powered by Hispano-Suiza engines. Inspired by the squadrons own mascot, Bazin would design the radiator ornament for Hispano-Suiza automobiles.
