Christian Stöcklin (Geneva 1741-1795 Frankfurt am Main) An imaginary church interior with figures signed and inscribed 'CHRISTIAN STOCKLEI· *PT·NWEN**' (lower right, on the tomb slab) and with signature 'PIETER/NEEFS' (indistinct, lower left, on the base), and extensively inscribed oil on panel 26 x 30¾ in. (66 x 78.1 cm.)
