Conditions of Sale:

The sale will be made expressly in cash, with payment by bank transfer, credit card and cash according to the terms in force to date.
No claim will be admissible as soon as the award is pronounced, the successive exhibitions having allowed the buyers to note the state of the objects presented.
The presentation of the lots on the Internet is worth prior exhibition when the public can not have access to the auction room (sale entirely dematerialized or sale in room broadcast live but not able to accommodate an audience).
Restorations and small accidents as well as dimensions and estimates are provided as an indication and can in no way be contested. Photographic reproductions may not give a completely accurate picture of the actual condition of a lot, in particular because the colours or shadows on the reproduction may differ from what a direct observer would perceive.

The successful bidder will be the highest bidder and last bidder, and will be required to submit his name and address.
He will have to pay, in addition to the amount of the auction, per lot, the following fees and taxes: 19% H.T. (or 22.80% T.T.C.).
As soon as the contract is pronounced, the purchases are under the full responsibility of the successful bidder.
No lot will be given to the purchasers before payment of all the sums due.

A storage fee will be charged to the buyer from 15 days from the date of sale. (Fee per lot per day: € 3.80 excl. T.)
In the case of an export of cultural goods, the buyer cannot condition his payment on obtaining the export certificate.
The successful bidder mandates May Associés to carry out on its behalf the declaration of purchase provided for in Article 2bis of the order of 16 August 2016 on the prohibition of trade in elephant ivory and rhino horn.

Failure to pay has consequences for the bidder: liability action and registration on the file of bad payers.
In the event of a dispute at the time of the auctions, i.e. if it is established that two or more bidders have simultaneously made an equivalent bid, either aloud or by sign, and at the same time claim this object after the word "awarded", the said object will be immediately put out to auction at the price proposed by the bidders and all the public present will be allowed to bid again. Priority is given to the room in case of a double bid. the OVV cannot be held responsible for any malfunction related to the platform or connection.

A right of pre-emption may be exercised in face-to-face and dematerialized auctions
Any changes to the conditions of sale or the descriptions of the catalog will be announced verbally during the sale and noted on the minutes.
An estimate of the likely selling price is included following each lot. This is only an indication, the auction price resulting from the auction may vary, of course, in addition or less than this estimate.

May Associés, the experts and the order takers are responsible for executing the purchase orders entrusted to them free of charge and can not be held responsible in case of failure or problem of telephone connection. The OVV reserves the right to ask any potential bidder to prove his identity and bank references and to make a deposit. The OVV reserves the right to refuse access to the sale to any person who has not satisfied these requests The action for liability of May Associés or the expert runs on a limitation period of five years as stipulated in the 3rd paragraph of Article L.321-17 of the Commercial Code: "civil liability actions brought on the occasion of auctions and voluntary and judicial sales of furniture at public auction are prescribed by five years from the date of the auction or prize. »

As part of our auction activities and in compliance with the GDPR, our auction house is required to collect personal data concerning the seller and the buyer. The latter therefore have a right of access, rectification and opposition on their personal data by contacting our auction house directly. Our OVV may use this personal data in order to comply with its legal obligations, and, unless opposed by the persons concerned, for the purpose of exercising its activity (in particular, commercial and marketing operations). This data may also be communicated to the competent authorities as soon as the regulations so require.
