Signed "K. KWANG" l.r., identified and inscribed "CHOO KENG KWANG...," with a label
from Shanpy Co., Singapore, affixed to the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 24 x 40 in. (61.0 x 101.6 cm), framed.
Condition: Minor abrasions, minor surface grime.

Provenance: Collection of Robert Bradford Newman (1917-1983), professor of architectural acoustics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and co-founder of Bolt, Beranek and Newman Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts.

There are several minor accretions, but the work appears to be clean otherwise. There is a rub (about 1/2 inch) to the surface at the right edge near the upper corner.
