陳道復 木芙蓉小鳥 水墨紙本 立軸 The seal Song Luo Shending 宋荦審定 belonged to the eminent Qing dynasty scholar/collector Song Luo (Song Muzhong, 1634-1717) from Shangqui, Henan. The son of Song Quan (1598-1652), the governor of Beijing at the time of the Manchu conquest, Song Luo benefited from his father's connections, forming one of the most important collections of the day, and patronizing contemporary artists such as Wang Hui (1632-1717). The sealZhangshi Zibo Jianshang 章氏紫伯鑑賞 was impressed by the late Qing collector and artist Zhang Shouxian (1804-1875).
