heights approx: gentleman: 29 1/4 in., 74.3 cm.; lady: 27 1/4 in., 69.2 cm.

the first inscribed C. B. IVES / FECIT ROMAE 1866, on back of bust; the other inscribed C. B. IVES / FECIT ROMAE 1867, on back of bust

carved marble, on separate circular socles

Condition Note: both with several minor chips to draperies at extremities and the extremities of socles, surfaces moderately soiled, remnants of white paint along bases of socles; minor copper-green discoloration to front of Mr Robbin's draperies, 1 inch chip to his draperies at right, small chip to edge of his left ear; Mrs. Robbins with repaired chip to drapery at her left shoulder, 3/4 inch chip to her right ear, 1 by 1/4 inch chip to her draperies at back
