Charlie Whisker Inner Shore Oil on canvas, 40.5 x 50.5cm Signed Whisker grew up in Bangor Co. Down. When he was 21 he experienced the brunt of the troubles first hand when the brother of a close friend was shot. This memory is represented throughout his work in the form of a burnt out match. Whisker's painting often focuses not on people themselves but the detritus human beings leave behind. Whisker has previously held solo exhibitions at the On The Wall Gallery, Belfast; the Hendriks Gallery, Dublin; and at the Kerlin Gallery, Dublin. His 2007 show "Consilience" at The Solomon Gallery, Dublin was a sell-out success.
