Charles Svendsen attended the Cincinnati Art Academy and studied at the Academies Julian and Colarossi in Paris. Svendsen was awarded a bronze metal at the St. Louis Universal Exposition and was the first artist to receive distinction at the Chicago Vanderpoel Memorial Museum. His work is represented in the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Taft Collection. Minor crease in upper right corner; two minor spots at left. Not examined out of the frame.
