Portrait of the Brigantine Rapid Transit of Turk's Island. Signed l.r. Oil on board, 18 x 23 1/2 in., in a carved giltwood frame. Condition: Scattered retouch, small loss u.c. edge.

Note: An inscription on the back of the board reads: "Brigantine 'Rapid Transit of Turk's Island,' 233 tons built in 1879 at North Weymouth, Lost at Sea in 1885."
