Lot 63: Charles Robertson (Irish, circa 1760-1821)

An Infantry Officer, wearing scarlet coat with white facings and gold epaulette, white frilled chemise and black stock, his hair powdered and tied with a black ribbon bow. Gold frame with border of plaited hair to the obverse, the reverse with border of blue glass surrounding gold-mounted aperture, glazed to reveal seed pearl monogram, HKE, on vertical strands of hair.
