To the naked eye: The paintings are in a beautiful condition. They have been painted on straight coppers, reinforced at the back by a wooden structure. We cannot notice any lack of paint and the matter is very well preserved. We can point out light wears on some figures and horses in the foreground. The two coppers have been correctly cleaned a few years ago. Under UV light: The paintings appear under a green uniform varnish. For View of the Seine from the Pont Neuf, we can notice the mark of an old frame that must cover it more and that has discoloured the varnish. For the View of Paris with the Saint Louis Hospital, we can notice some light restorations on the sky and on the edges.
