American. Of carved stone on marble base, depicting abstract female figure, measuring 16" x 14" x 5". Charles Cutler was the son of Massachusetts painter Carl Cutler (1873-1945), and was primarily a sculptor. He served as the head of the sculpture department at the Cincinnati Art Academy and exhibited widely, most notably at Vose Gallery in Boston.
