Charles Frederick Buckley (1812-1869) ANGLERS BY THE ROCKS signed lower right watercolour 22cm., 8.5in., diameter Charles Frederick Buckley, a native of Cork, relocated to London c.1840. He specialised in landscape and figure painting in oil and watercolour painting subjects in Ireland and throughout the UK. He exhibited regularly at the Suffolk Street Galleries of the Royal Society of British Artists from 1841-1869 from an address at 45 Great Russell Street. Examples of his works can be found in the Victoria and Albert Museum, among others.
