Charles Balthazar Julien Fevret de Saint-Memin (French/American, 1770-1852), etching on laid paper, "View of the City of New York taken from Long Island" (Deak 215, another impression is in the I.N. Phelps Stokes Collection of American Historical Prints in the New York Public Library), 1796, panoramic view of the city with numerous sailing vessels in the harbor, applied label from "Kennedy and Co. Rare Prints" verso, three tears in the lower and right margins, one repaired, one extending approx. 3/4" into image, a few spots of foxing, matted and framed under glass, plate size 13 3/4" h. x 19 1/2" w. (not examined out of frame).
