Monogram signed and dated "CHRimmer/-89-" l.r., identified on a label from the Tennessee Centennial Exposition affixed to the frame backing paper.
Terracotta bas-relief sculpture, sight size 10 x 15 in., framed.
Condition: Dust and dirt to interstices.

N.B. Caroline Hunt Rimmer was the daughter of artist William Rimmer (American, 1816-1879). The bas-relief was exhibited in 1897 at the time of Tennessee's six-month celebration marking the 100th anniversary of statehood.
