Louis Chiron and his co-driver Archille Varzi went onto win the race, completing 101 laps of the circuit at a speed of 126.88 kmph. Sir Henry 'Tim' Birkin and his co-driver George Eyston in their Maserati 26M finished 4th, 7 laps behind the dominant Bugatti. Luigi Fagioli and his co-driver Ernsto Maserati retired on the 45th lap after brake failure.
