original carved frame. Woolsey worked in Indiana and in Taos, New Mexico. He exhibited at the Hoosier Salon (1920s-30s), Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, National Academy of Design, and the Corcoran Gallery. Woolsey's brother, Wood, was also a painter.
