Carl Johann Steinhauser (1813-1879) A white marble figure of a fisher boy German, mid 19th century 99cm.; 39ins high by 46cm.; 18ins wide Carl Johann Steinhauser was born in Bremen and studied in the School of Drawing there. He then went on to work for Rauch in Berlin and later in Rome between 1835-1863 when he became the Professor of Art at Carlsruhe until his death
