Description

C.1840, French, ormolu & Bronze figural clock Frederick the Great, with good early silk thread movement, and silvered brass dial with uncommon center pattern. Condition: the bell standard got pushed against the movement during shipment, and you'll need to straighten it before installing the pendulum. The case itself is in excellent original condition, with bright gilding, and Fred's horse in "black" bronze finish. Frederick the First [the father] was born in Königsberg and served as the soldier king of Prussia after 1650. His son became Frederick the Great. Ht 17" $2500--$3000
