Description

C.1840, French, Joan of Arc, marble & bronze figural clock, with 8-day silk thread, bell strike movement. [Joan of Arc, 1412-31 was instrumental in rallying the French in their fight against the English during the 100 years war] Condition: overall very good original condition. The Victorian pendulum is incorrect, but replacements are available from Timesavers. The well made movement is unsigned, only numbers present; ticks and strikes. Porcelain dial has several hairline cracks, but not chips, and hands are original. Detail on figure is very fine. Ht 18.5" [47cm] $400--$600
