2 Autograph Letters Signed ("Robert Browning"), 2 pp, small 8vo, [London], December 29, 1871 and June 17, 1880, to Lady Thompson and Mr. Ingram, on various stationeries, later letter with offset and sunning from original frame, earlier letter with left margin rough.

In the later letter, Browning thanks his correspondent for the gift of a volume of Poe's works: "I find myself still more indebted to you for having cleared away so much misapprehension of the facts concerning Poe as I could not but lie under till such a truly pious work of rehabilitation should appear as this one."
