LITERATURE

Steinschneider 4629, 807.7/8 and 808.10 (4 copies in the Bodleian); L. Fuks & R.G. Fuks-Mansfeld, Hebrew typography in the Northern Netherlands, 1585-1815: historical evaluation, and descriptive bibliography (Leiden: Brill, 1984-1987) i, pp. 34-39, who reject the attribution of the printing to the extraordinary Jan Theunisz, and suggest that Hondius may have either done it himself, or had it done. In either case they point out that the printing leaves much to be desired. However these items are very rare.

NOTE

The English translation of the Hebrew letter, which is mentioned on the title-page to the Latin translation, is not present in any copy we have seen described, and is not mentioned in STC.
