Frolicking Flora

About Karoll:

Born the fourth of seven children and raised on a farm near Barrhead, Alberta, Karoll's fascination with her rural surroundings was the source of inspiration for much of her artwork. She began honing her skills from the time she was nine and competed against adults in all creative endeavors, winning a multitude of competitions. She enrolled in adult art classes from the age of twelve and continued until her 17th year. At which time she enrolled in a landscape course and life drawing courses through the University of Alberta's extended programs.

Karoll has always had a maverick style of ensuring her success as a professional artist. As a young adult, she conducted her own solo shows, selling the majority of her creations this way. Karoll's international collectors, haling from Australia, Europe, Asia, and The Americas, are enthusiastic about her striking images, color mastery, lighting, and composition.

Karoll provides masterpieces to the Mountain Galleries of Banff Springs Hotel, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and Chateau Whistler, in British Columbia. Additionally, Art Beat Gallery in St. Albert, The Gallery on Main in Lacombe, and Picture This gallery in Sherwood Park. She has done portraits of people, (including children), feline, canine, and her personal favorite, horses.

Karoll's passion for North America's incredible beauty will indeed inspire more and greater landscape paintings for her growing list of admiring collectors.

Artist's Statement: "Creating for me is like having a reunion with my dearest of friends. I feel immense joy, peace, and appreciation for the plethora of beauty all around me. The unfolding of an inspiration and seeing it come to life on canvas is such a treat. I am very happy to share my perception of beauty with anyone."
