Wicklow, Brian Henderson is primarily an abstract painter. Awarded an Arts Council Fellowship in 1970, he moved to New York the following year. In Dublin he has had solo shows with the Dawson Gallery (1973), Taylor Galleries (1979, 1992, 1999) and at the Guinness Hop Store (1989). He has also participated in a number of prestigious group shows including The Irish Imagination (in association with ROSC, 1971) and Irish Directions of the Seventies, which toured east coast America (1974-76). His work is in many major public collections including the Arts Council of Ireland, Bank of Ireland, the Ulster Museum and IMMA.
