BRAUNER Gustav (1880 Tylov near Rymarov - 1966) Interior of the church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary on Svaty Kopecek in Olomouc Pencil and watercolour on cardboard, oval 76 x 41 cm, framed, glazed, dated 1927, signed lower right, label Mahr. Kunstverein Brunn Kunstlerhaus at the back. Czech painter, he studied under J. Berger, Eisenmenger, J. Schmied and L'Allemand at the Academy in Vienna. He was concerned with capturing the atmosphere of old street, ancient houses and towers in south Bohemia. See T 1/94.
