Boyce (George Price, 1826-1897). View of a Church Tower from the shadows, watercolour, with traces of pencil, signed with monogram and dated 1854, 27 x 18cm (10.75 x 7.25ins), period gilt frame, glazed, with label of Leggatt Brothers, Cheapside, to verso, and additional small handwritten ownership label for Nellie Baxter. The present work, together with the following lot were produced by George Price Boyce during his artistic trip to Venice in the company of John Ruskin, in 1854/55. (1)
