Notes

Falmouth oyster dredgers are gaff-rigged cutters that measure up to thirty feet in length and have been in existence for over a century. In order to preserve the ecology of the river beds, they have been restricted by local bye-laws to use only sails and oars. These unique and classic boats are the last working sail-powered fishing vessels in Europe.
