fine ichthyological watercolours by Bowdich, author of The Fresh-Water Fishes of Great Britain, itself a work illustrated entirely in watercolour. The group offered here comprises: minnow (heightened in sliver and gold), roach, lesser lamprey, gudgeon (heightened in silver), common eel, all life size except the last (half size).
