Lorca (Federico Garcia). Primer romancero gitano 1924-1927, 1st ed., Revista de Occidente, Madrid, [1928], signed presentation inscription from Juan Guerrero [Ruiz] to part title of Ballad No. 15, 'A Pedro Flores [? Garcia, 1897-1967], gran pintor espanol este ejemplar de mi Juan Guerrero, Murcia, Agosto de 1928', partly uncut, orig. printed wrappers with pictorial upper cover design by the author, somewhat spotted and dust soiled with a little fraying at head and foot of spine, small 8vo. Rare first edition of Lorca's Eighteen Gypsy Ballads in its original wrappers. The presentation inscription is by Lorca's dedicatee of the fifteenth ballad ('Romance de la guardia civil espanola'), Juan Guerrero Ruiz (1893-1955), the Consul General of Poetry at that time. (1)
