THE PROPERTY OF A DECEASED ESTATE (LOT 20)
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 15% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
We are grateful to Professor Peter Humfrey for confirming the attribution on the basis of photographs. He regards it as an early work of circa 1525-30, when Bonifazio's style was still extremely close to that of Palma Vecchio, in whose studio he most probably trained as a young artist.
