An attractive copy of the first edition in French of Bligh ’ s own account of the famous mutiny. The English edition was printed in the same year; an official account would not see publication in 1792. Sabin 5909.

Octavo (210 x 125mm). Half title, 3 engraved folding maps (occasional very light soiling). Contemporary calf, morocco title label, untrimmed (neatly rebacked). Provenance : early notes on final blank on Thessalonians.
