Bird (Henry Richard, 1909-2000). Nude and figure studies, a group of twelve figure studies, mostly in coloured pastels on paper, a few in black charcoal, each with final studio sale stamp, 63 x 48cm (24.75 x 19ins), and similar. Henry Arthur Richard Bird ARCA FIAL studied at the Northampton School of Art and was a member of the Art Workers Guild and the Society of Mural Painters. He produced murals for various churches and was head scene painter at the Old Vic and SadlerÕs Wells theatres. (12)
