BILL BOMAR (American, 1919-1991) Martinique Fantasy Mixed media on paper 11-1/2 x 7-1/4 inches (29.2 x 18.4 cm) Initialed lower right: BB Titled verso: Martinique Fantasy Bill Bomar is considered to be a leader of the Fort Worth Circle. At various times, he lived in New York and New Mexico but remained an active member of the North Texas art community for many years. In these two small works, Bomar, who experimented in numerous styles, shows the influence that artist Wassily Kandinsky had on many of his abstract works.
