BETTY BOWMAN (B.1923) 'The Blossom', 'Summer Leaves' and 'Yellow Daisies', each signed, the former two pastels, the latter watercolour, 38cm x 29cm, 39cm x 27cm and 39cm x 27cm respectively (3). Betty Bowman was a painter, teacher and etcher born in Ealing, West London. She studied at the Central School of Arts & Crafts (1944), Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art and the City and Guilds of London Art School, where she studied under Rodney Burn and Robin Guthrie. In the middle of her career she moved away from London to the Cotswolds, showing in many group exhibitions as well as solo shows with the Woodstock Gallery, Drian Gallery and Mall Galleries.
