Bernice Fenwick Martin 1902 - 1999 Canadian oil on board Rocky Ridge Lake, St. Peter, North of Maynooth, Ontario 10 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches 26.7 x 34.9 centimeters signed and on verso titled and stamped with the estate stamp Provenance:Private Collection, Toronto Bernice Fenwick Martin studied at the Ontario College of Art in the 1920s under J.W. Beatty and Franklin Carmichael. Her works were exhibited at the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 1945 and 1947. A painter and graphic artist, her subjects include landscapes, market scenes, still life and flowers. One of her works is in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada.
