From the same album as a drawing of a seated figure in the Uffizi, numbered 71 (M.P. Mannini, Il Seicento Fiorentino, exhib. cat., Florence, Palazzo Strozzi, 1986, no. 2.200). That drawing, close in style and technique to the present one, was used for a painting of The Dream of Joseph, dated 1631 and formerly on the art market.
