Description

Baden-Powell (Lord Robert, 1857-1941). Black and white photograph signed, 'Baden-Powell of Gilwell, 1929', a half length portrait of Baden-Powell in scouting uniform and clasping a walking stick, a few minor marks and signature a little faded, 240 x 185 mm, in leather desk-frame, together with four photographs of his wife, Olave, one photo showing her half length holding a violin, tarnished at edges, 145 x 185 mm, signed and inscribed on mount beneath, 'To "Bechie" with love from Olave Baden-Powell', framed and glazed in leather desk frame (glass cracked), the second photo of her younger self signed 'Olave', 135 x 90 mm, contained in a limp leather photo wallet with buckle stud, sl. rubbed and soiled, plus two smaller photos of her in girl guides uniform, one signed by the photographer Walder in pencil on the mount, the other a real photo postcard showing her full length in front of a tent with two young girl guides looking on from behind (5)
