Item Overview

Description

Very sought after artist Azriel Awret baby head bronze sculpture. Signed 'AWRET 2/8'. This low production piece is hollow bronze on a wooden base. Azriel and Irene Awret, a husband-and-wife team of artists who met while they were interned at a Nazi concentration camp, immigrated to Israel in 1949 and helped found the Safed artists' colony.
