AUTOGRAPHS: KNERR HAROLD: (1882-1949) American Cartoonist, artist and writer of The Katzenjammer Kids comic strip. An excellent original black pen and ink sketch, with colour crayon additions, drawn and signed by Knerr on a small oblong 8vo card. The drawing features the twin brothers Hans and Fritz in half length poses waving. Above and below the sketch Knerr has added the words 'Hi-Ya Ken! Get well fast! Heartiest Good Wishes for a Speedy Recovery from the Katzies and Sincerely Yours - ', adding his signature ('Harold K. Knerr') and the date 1945 beneath. Together with a second original black pen and ink sketch drawn and signed by Knerr on a slightly smaller piece. The drawing also features Hans and Fritz in half length poses waving and greeting the recipient Howdy Kenneth in a joint speech bubble. Signed ('Knerr') by the cartoonist beneath the drawing and dated 1936 in his hand. Neatly laid down. G to VG, 2
