Autograph: Ernest Bloch - Swiss-born American composer (1880-1959) best known for his large-scale, often Jewish-inflected chamber, orchestral, and choral works. ALS, one page, 7.25 x 11, August 26, 1955. Bloch sends thanks to Mr. Brewer for an article. In part: "Many thanks for sending me the excellent article you wrote about my career...It is very rare to have such a study made in German! As I told you, my work is almost unknown in that part of Switzerland." In fine condition, with scattered creasing, heavier to lower left, and small hole to left edge.
